| 1833547 | 2009-09-30 | Viol(s) Noted & Immediately Corrected | Part of the inspection included a follow up on an incident involving a drilling mud spill which occurred on 9/26/09. Reportedly, a hose failure resulted in a spill of approximately 5 to 10 gallons of drilling on the well pad. At the time of occurrence, it was reported the spill was immediately cleaned up by scraping the area, and disposing of the mud and soil into the reserve pit. VIOIC See Inspection Report.
At the time of inspection, I met with Company Man Dan Miller. The drill rig on site is Nomac Rig 42. Drilling depth at the time of inspection was 996¿. Mr. Miller indicated they had set surface casing at 996¿on 9/28/09 and used 558 sks of Class A cement. At the time of cementing, there were no returns to surface. Mr. miller reported that they ran 100% excess of cement down-hole. At the time of inspection, crew was switching out the Pason and running a casing test. Drillers log was on site and up to date. There was approximately 3¿ of freeboard in the reserve pit. |

Reading on this annulus are Comb-XXX, CO- 2000, Meth-100, HS- 15 on the MSA Altair 5X gas meter. Gas from the 5 1/2" X 9 5/8" annulus is considered producible gas so No Violation. |
