2117521 2012-11-16 No Violations Noted
2126850 2012-10-26 No Violations Noted Investigation of a water supply, water quality.
2126867 2012-11-08 No Violations Noted On November 8, 2012, Environmental Trainee, Carl Livermore and I stopped at the Krenzelak’s to take water samples from both the Store well (W2) and the home well (W3). While there we also got the pre-drill test results for the home well.
2126878 2012-12-31 No Violations Noted On December 31, 2012, I compared the DEP lab results from the November 8, 2012 samples to the lab results of the pre-drill samples taken by Moody on August 27, 2012. This shows an increase of manganese and iron above the secondary MCL in the store’s water and an increase above the secondary MCL for manganese for the house water. While both the store and the house show evidence of surface water influence. I don’t believe this explains the chemistry difference.

CONSOL’s NV-57 wells are within presumption both for date and distance. Additionally, the water does show a change in chemistry above the EPA MCL. Because of this CONSOL needs to either submit a remediation plan or argue that they were not the cause of the pollution.

I contacted CONSOL and early indications are that they will provide evidence of their innocence. They will continue to maintain the water buffalo for now.
