Inspection Data

INSPECTION ID DATE DESCRIPTION COMMENT VIOLATION ID
2243128 2014-01-13 Violation(s) Noted On January 10, 2014, I received a telephone call from Kevin Smith of CONSOL reporting a leak from the production tank of Jonah Wood #3. Leatherwood discovered the problem during a routine pipeline inspection and promptly reported it to the Department.

I followed-up on the report on January 13 and met with Danny Caldwell, the Assistant Production Coordinator for CONSOL, on-site. The production tank is about 150 yards downhill from the well and is between the well and Long Run. Mr. Caldwell told me that the well had been shut-in and out of production for about a month. At inspection, a crew was actively pumping the production tank fluids into a temporary plastic tank. There were some solids in the bottom of the tank and the crew was placing them in drums on-site for later disposal. They also had quite a few adsorbent pads out. Leatherwood plans on replacing the old production tank with a new steel one.
