2573617 | Primary Facility | 2017-03-10 | Incident- Response to Accident or Event | Viol(s) Noted & Immediately Corrected | On 3/7/17, Mr. Kepler with Seneca Resources contacted the Department regarding a small release of production fluid from a booster pump near the intersection of Middle Fork Road and Shawmut Grade Road. The pump is installed along a temporary water line running from Seneca's F10-F pad to their Clermont Storage Facility. The following was submitted to the Department in an email from Mr. Kepler:
"The attached photo depicts the cracked head of a booster pump that was being used to move fluid from the F10-F flowback to the storage facility. An operator was on location when the incident occurred and the unit was immediately shut down and the isolation valves were closed. There were no injuries. A minimal amount of fluid was released as a spray, but the roadside ditch water associated with today's rain storms was impacted." The release was estimated to have lasted 15 seconds, releasing approximately 15-20 gallons of production fluid from Seneca's 047-24926 and 047 -24927 wells, both producing fluid at the time o |
