Inspection Data

INSPECTION ID DATE DESCRIPTION COMMENT VIOLATION ID
1901056 2010-07-27 Pending At the time of inspection, well was properly tagged and in production. Site appeared to be adequately and uniformly restored with >70% successful vegetative growth. Dept observed a large area of dead grass surrounding brine tank and production equipment. Upon further investigation noted that soil contained a red and black hue. Soil samples were taken from behind brine tank. Brine tank exhibited rust and possible evidence of a leak on back side with read streaking down tank, as well as on piping out of brine tank. (See pictures). While onsite dept also observed some small ponding of liquid near brine tank and annulus. Detected a faint gas odor as well. Call was made to Victory Energy at 1145am on 7-27-10 and a message was left with secretary. A follow up inspection will be conducted to ensure operator has responded /investigated possible pollution event.
1905314 2010-08-10 No Violations Noted This inspection was conducted as a follow-up after notifying operator of a possible brine release <5gals. Dept received a message on 7-28-10 from Elmer of Victory that stated site was looked at and they were unsure what caused the dead vegetation around production equipment, but plans were to replace blower line and flange on brine tank. They also intend to excavate affected soil and reseed and mulch area near tank and/or well head. During this inspection, Elmer Gromley and Chris Baker of Victory Energy were onsite. Soil in question was removed, rock was placed under brine tank, blower line and flange replaced. Tank was inspected, then painted. No other structural issues were identified. Operator indicated that well tender utilized weed killer near production equipment rather than cutting the area, which id'd the source of dead vegetation. At this time the there is now IW or E&S concerns with the site or access road. Also noted that operator installed a ditch to direct runoff that occurs from property above well site. Immediate response was taken
