| 1:00pm I received a call from the Jackson office Re: Brine dumping complaint in Pike Co. I called Patrick Hudnall OEPA 740-380-5226 Patrick informed me about a complaint that he had received from Debbie Hanna 740-820-8874. Debbie saw a pump truck with a hose in the creek at the 2nd bridge on Red Hollow Rd. She assumed that they were dumping. I arrived on site at 4:30pm on 11-7-07 and met with Mark Bailey ( from Paxton Madison. Owners of the new wells in the area and responsible for the pump truck) I was able to determine where the pump truck was parked from the dual tire tracks on the side of the road. The creek was not flowing and consisted of large stagnant pools of water. Leaves and other organic substances were floating on the surface of the water. I tested the water with high level Quantabs and did not get any show of Brine. The Drill rig needed water for their mud and the logger needed water to fill up the wells that had just been drilled. No evidence suggests that the pump truck was doing anything other than pumping water from the creek to use in the well field. I called Debbie Hanna at 5:32pm on 11-7-07 and informed her of my findings. I thanked her for her concern.
