+ | | Mr. Brewer and I viewed and discussed the drill cuttings processing. The current treatment system in place consists of (2) rig shakers, (2) drying shakers, (1) centrifuge and a pug mill unit. The centrifuge provided by Peak Energy Services, a Clean Harbors company, extracts the solids from the liquids in the drill cuttings, removing only low gravity solids. The liquid material is reused as a drilling fluid on-site upon returning to the active drilling system or it is stored on location in frac tanks and sent to another Chesapeake location as the rig moves to be reused for drilling purposes. There are no chemicals added into in the process. An alternative waste management practice (OG-71) application needs to be submitted to the Department in relation to the process described above. | ||
