+ | | On the day of my inspection I found that the wellhead was equipped with a 4 to 2 swage and connected to a vertical drip with 2 line. There was one 100 barrel steel tank next to the well inside of an earthen dike. No identification was posted. The bottom of the dike was half covered with a pool of crude oil. I also found a swath of dead grass approximately 5' to 10' wide and 50' long running down the side of the hill directly below the well. The dead grass was covered with oil soaked saw dust or some other similar substance. The 100 barrel tank must be repaired or replaced. The crude oil and oil contaminated soil must be removed from inside of the dike. The oil contaminated soil must be removed from the side of the hill. All of the contaminated soil must be disposed of at an EPA approved landfill. | ||
