First, Nick ripped the 4.5 casing at 3,508'. Two joints of casing with lengths of 10' and 33.3' was removed to set the Big Lime plug. Plug #2 was set from 3,465' to 3,165'. Nick connected and established circulation with 15 barrels of water. The operator pumped 86 sacks of Class A cement. The cement was displaced with 50.3 barrels of water. Next, 84 joints of 4.5 casing was removed that contained one 10' pup joint the Ohio Shale/Surface Casing plug. Plug #3 was set from 659' to 459'. Nick connected and established circulation with 15 barrels of water. The operator pumped 60 sacks of Class A cement. The cement was displaced with 7.2 barrels of water. Next, 14 joints were removed to set the surface plug. Nick connected and established circulation. The operator pumped 62 sacks of Class A cement. I witnessed a good return of cement to surface. Nick removed the remaining 6 joint and the well was topped off with cement. A total of 104 joints of 4.5 casing plus two, 10' pup joints were removed from the well. |

A landowner waiver was submitted to allow natural vegetation to take over, access road would be left in place, and the production equipment to be used by the Simon #2 well. Final restoration passed. |

| My inspection found the well not in production. The well was equipped with a plunger lift unit. There were overgrown weeds surrounding the well. All of the flow line valves were closed indicating the well was shut-in. The tank battery contained three, 100 barrel production tanks, a concrete brine tank, and a heat, treated separator. The separator had the correct spacing from the tanks. The dike was slightly weathered; however, it meets containment requirements. The entire tank battery was surrounded by a locked chain link fence. The proper identification signs were posted at the well and production tank. The lease road was in good condition with a locked gate at the entrance and shared with permit numbers 2-2020 and 2-2948. I researched our database and found Trumbull Resources reported zero annual production since 1997. I called Trumbull Resources at 330652-2525. I left a message that a compliance notice would be issued for non-production. I gave Trumbull until 11/15/2013 to plug the well, place the well in production, or file for temporary inactive status. | | My inspection found the well not in production. + | | I was on location to witness Nick's Well Plugging plug for Trumbull Resources. Initially, Nick attempted to pull on the tubing and found the tubing was hung in the hole. Then, the operator connected and pumped on the tubing with fresh water and found the rabbit was on bottom. Next, Appalachian Well Service arrived to shot off the tubing at two locations. First, Appalachian set up and shot off the tubing at 4,901' to set the bottom plug. Plug #1 was set from 5,129' to 4,787'. Nick connected to the tubing and bull headed 25 sacks of Class A cement. The cement was displaced to 4,787'. Another attempt was made to pull up on the tubing; however, the tubing was still hung in the hole. Then, Appalachian set up and shot off the tubing at 3,605'. Next, Nick pulled the tubing and shut-in the well for the weekend. | ||
