+ | | A follow up inspection to Orphan Case No. 2006 03 011 revealed that the well was situated in a vacant field lot located next to the Knox County Community Hospital at 16361 Village Parkway, Fredricktown, Ohio and within 50' from the road. The well was open and contained rotted 10 outside diameter drive pipe and 4.5 outside diameter casing. The exposed 4.5 casing was thin walled with multiple holes at the top. A 4x2 swage with a gate valve would have been attached to the 4.5 casing at one time, but have since rotted off at the collar and fallen onto the ground surface. It was also noted that the immediate area contained a hanger on the ground surface. The fluid level inside the 4.5 casing was at approx 50' and the annular space between the 10 and 4.5 casings was at approx 3 seconds downhole from surface. Gas bubbling was observed downhole and within the fluid of the 4.5 casing, but no smell or detection with a gas meter was found at the surface. A GPS reading was obtained and recorded for the well. Note: The well was readily accessible from the road, but underground public utility lines exist within the area. | ||

| At the time of the inspection I was on location with ODOGRM Inspector Jeff Fry to discuss the logistics of plugging the well for the Orphan Well Program. The status of the well is unchanged from previous inspections and the SEM score does not need adjusted. | | At the time of the inspection I was on location with ODOGRM Inspector Jeff Fry to discuss the logistics of plugging the well for the Orphan Well Program.
