0147105440 | 2014-12-01 | Plug / Plug Back | No Violations | I inspected this well and tank battery on 12/1/2014. The tank battery consisted of a 100 barrel oil tank , an in ground cement brine vault and a drip for a domestic house hook up. The separator had been removed previously. The well was operated as a plunger lift well. The Operator has determined that the well is not economical to produced and will plug and abandon the well. Since the well is possibly located in an area of Solution Mining ( PPG ) Tony Cavalier ( pumper ) and I checked the various annular pressures to determine if there is any communication from the mining galleries. The 8.625 X 4.5 annular space was opened when we dug it up. There wasnt any evidence of gas or liquid flow out of the 8.625 casing. We shut the 8.625 valve overnight and found just a whiff of gas when opened. The pressure differential between the 1.5 tubing and 4.5 casing was 80 psi. It was determined that there is not any evident communication or flow from the previous Solution Mining activities. |
