1399629920 | 2013-12-02 | Orphan | No Violations | This inspection was done at the request of Eugene Chini, O.D.O.G., who was contacted by attorney Susan Howard (419-872-2600) on behalf of a potential buyer for the property on which the well is located. At the time of the inspection there was a small wooden building with a 5 x 5 concrete cellar underneath. There is a hole in the floor of the building that shows an 8 casing just below the level of the floor. There was evidence of oil and some gas bubbling inside the casing and water and oil in the cellar surrounding the casing. No readings of gas were obtained with the gas detector/meter and no sign of any leaking outside of the cellar. The well will be given a new SEM score and reviewed by the Orphan Well Program due to potential Lease Chain issues. |
1476879265 | 2016-10-14 | Orphan | No Violations | This well is designated as Orphan Well Case # 2007-09-18 and was inspected to update the well status and landowner information. The parcel is currently owned by Saint Eligius Equine Stables LLC and is being used for boarding horses. A new Right of Entry Form was mailed to the landowners on 10-17-16. The well is located at the northern end of the parcel under an 8 by 8 wooden platform. The platform covers a 6 by 6 concrete vault of unknown depth and the well is located inside the vault about three feet below ground level. A mulberry tree consisting of 6, 10+ diameter trunks and a height of approximately 25 is located 10 east of the well and will need to be removed when the well is plugged. There was a distinct smell of crude oil in the area immediately surrounding the well and previous inspections indicated the well has been slowly leaking oil since its was first inspected in 2007. At the time of my inspection the platform could not be removed to access to the well to check any fluid or gas levels that may be present. |
