0006263820 | 2014-12-09 | Production Wells | No Violations | My inspection is in reference to complaint #4549. The oil and brine release has been cleaned and the tank battery has been restored to the proper condition. The water inside the tank battery dike tested negative for chlorides. The complaint can be closed. No violations found. |
0583412993 | 2009-11-12 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | Pits have been solidified, work pit has been closed. Operator is going to cut laterals and close the back pit. Operator mixed drill cuttings with two loads of cement fines. Pop off was in place on the annulus. Annulus pressure was zero. Lease road was stable and in good repair. Drainage controls were in place around drill site. |
0794569387 | 2009-10-28 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | Drill depth 3518, operator is drilling on fluid. Required driller to go to fluid 100 into the big lime. Offset wells in the area have hit sour gas. Operator has had hydraulic leaks on the rig. Hydraulic fluid was floating in the pit. Hydraulic fluid had accumulated in the cellar. Requested that the operator clean hydraulic fluid out of the cellar. Lease road was soft. First 500 of the road is rock and was stable. Operator has silt fence up at the toe of the site. |
0836430326 | 2010-05-26 | Production Wells | No Violations | On site in regards to an odor complaint. Checked tank battery, tank was painted 1 month ago. There was an odor of paint around the tank battery. Paint is still tacky in areas. Weather this day was 85 and sunny, light wind. One 100BBL tank in battery and one 1500 gal poly tank. Operator has plumbed the 100BBL tank into the poly tank from the top. Operator cut a hole in the poly tanks cap for piping. LEL at the cap was 22% H2S zero. Odor was noted between tanks, LEL and H2S were both zero between the tanks. LEL and H2S around the battery was zero. Well head has also been painted. No odor noted at the well head. Zero LEL and H2S at the well head and around the affected area of the site. Annulus has a 25 psi pop off on it. LEL at the pop off was zero. Pressure on the annulus was zero. No gas leaks observed on any of the fittings of the well. There was standing water around the well head, no bubbling around the well. Healthy Tadpole population in water around well head. |
0943331732 | 2013-06-06 | Production Wells | No Violations | My inspection found the well to be equipped with a plunger lift unit. The annulus is open and plumbed into a pop off valve. The tank battery consists of a 100 BBL production tank, a 50 BBL poly brine tank, and a mechanical separator. The production tank over flow line is plumbed through the cap of the poly brine tank. The well has no identification sign on it. The dike drain was open. The lease road is stable. I contacted John from Seagull to have the proper identification signs placed on both the tank battery and the wellhead and to make sure the dike drain stays closed. |
1230802382 | 2018-03-23 | Production Wells | No Violations | During this inspection, the well was equipped with a plunger lift assembly and the annulus and flow line valves were open. Production for this well was current. The tank battery consisted of one 100 BBL production tank, one 50 BBL poly brine tank, and a mechanical separator. Valves on the separator were open and the chart dated 3/15/18 showed production. The tank battery was diked and fenced. The lease access was stable. The signage located at the well and tank battery needs updated to reflect new owner information. I contacted Baay Oil, LLC and spoke with owner Brooks Yarborough about updating the signage to include new owner information. |
1257177327 | 2009-11-02 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | On site regarding an odor complaint. Checked site with PhD-Lite gas meter O2 20.3, zero LEL and zero H2S. There was an odor coming off of pits. Blow pit water was orange in color, had been orange during drilling. When I asked driller on previous inspection about the water, Terry stated, it was that color when they brought it on site. Tested air around drill location zero LEL and Zero H2S. Tested air under rig by well head, zero LEL and zero H2S, as I moved under the rig continually testing, LEL and H2S, both stayed at zero. Annulus was open pressure gauge and pop-off have not been installed at this time. Inserted probe into annulus, LEL over range warning was given O2 warning was given, H2S stayed at zero, at that time strong odor coming from annulus was noted. Odor caused me to get a headache and start feeling nausea. Backed away from annulus, O2 went back to 20.5 ppm and LEL went to zero, H2S zero. Headache and nausea subsided within 10minutes after leaving well location. Called Anthony from Seagull, left message advised to install 50psi pop-off and pressure gauge to prevent any gas from escaping, requested pits to be pumped down. Anthony arrived on site during inspection, with pop off. Anthony stated they were going to have pits pumped down this week. Order Anthony to have pits pumped down today. Anthony stated he would call brine haulers. Pit liners were in good repair at the time of inspection. Drainage controls were in place. |
1294085796 | 2011-01-03 | Preliminary Restoration | No Violations | Tank battery has a 100Bbl and a 1500Gal poly tank in it with a mechanical separator. Operator has installed a fence around battery. Well is a rabbit well. Zero psi on the annulus. Operator has a drain pipe in the dike, drain was open, drain closed during inspection. Identification sign needs posted at the battery. Affected area from the gas well has been rough graded. No seeding or new vegetation noted. Location is stable at this time, no offsite erosion or erosion damaged noted at this time. Site will need to be checked in the spring for stability before preliminary restoration is passed. |
1369935225 | 2013-05-30 | Preliminary Restoration | No Violations | On site to follow up on an odor complaint that was filed during drilling. Annulus on the well is plumbed with a 50psi pop off. Valve on the annulus was open and the pressure gauge was reading zero. Took air readings at the opening of the pop-off, readings were: LEL 1, CO 8. No odor noted around wellhead. Native vegetation has become established around the wellhead. The vegetation is a mix of wetland species and invasive plant species. Native vegetation has become established on the lease road as well. The lease road from the woods to the wellhead is not drivable. Tank battery: No gas venting noted in the battery. Took air readings in the battery, no meter readings recorded. Identification needs posted at the tank battery. The dike has a drain pipe in it, I could not find the discharge on the pipe, due to the vegetation. Drain shut off needs installed on the drain pipe inside the dike. Weather was 84 light wind and high humidity. No odors noted during inspection, complaint can be closed. |
1386603294 | 2013-12-09 | UrbanProduction Wells | No Violations | My inspection found the brine tank appears to have been shot with a shotgun slug. Brine and oil had escaped from the poly tank. The company had absorbent mats and ash brought in to solidify the brine and oil for removal. The water under the ice looked gray from the ash and there was still oil pooled up around the base of the tanks. I spoke with the owner of the company John Zisner, he informed me that he had payed a company to clean up the location. He was on his way to the location to see what needs done to remedy the situation. The company did not contact me about the issue. I advised the owner to contact me if any future issues arise. |
1389627102 | 2014-01-13 | UrbanProduction Wells | No Violations | My inspection today found the tank battery is still in the process of being cleaned. I have advised John of Seagull Development to remove the poly tank and remove the oil contaminated stone from the location. The cleanup is taking longer than expected due to weather conditions. |
1837755135 | 2013-07-23 | Production Wells | No Violations | My inspection found the proper identification located on the tank battery as requested and the dike drain plug was in place to prevent fluid escape. No violations found. Nothing else has changed since my last inspection. |
