0327950616 | 2017-01-25 | Completion Testing | No Violations | I was on location today to inspect completion operations being conducted on this well and the Edie #8 (PN# 22715). The perforating gun was currently being pumped down the #8 well and this well (3H) was being hydraulically fractured by FTS International. This is stage # 25 of 71 total stages planned for this well. The stage details were as follows: the average treatment pressure during the job was 8521psi (9027max), the average horsepower used during the job was 17,733 (18,963max), and the average pumping rate during the job was 84.9 barrels/minute (86.5max). Near the end of the job, the perforations screened (sanded) off at a proppant total of 321,308lbs of sand and the job was stopped. After stopping, the wellhead pressure was 3282psi, the bottom hole pressure was 3404psi, and the annular pressure between the 5.5 production casing and 9.625 intermediate casing was 317psi. I spoke with Chesapeake and FTS personnel and they said it would be some time before a decision was made to either conduct a pump-down test or flow the well back prior to continuing with stage 26 perforating operations. There were no violations at this time. |
0855868792 | 2018-11-19 | Production Wells | No Violations | The well was equipped with an open flow assembly. The surface/intermediate annular gauge displayed a reading of zero psi and the intermediate/production displayed 250 psi. I performed a walk-around inspection of the pad and no violations were observed at the time of inspection. |
1276258336 | 2017-01-27 | Completion Testing | No Violations | I was on location today to inspect completion operations being conducted on this well and the Edie #8 (PN# 22715). The perforating gun was currently being pumped down the #8 well and this well (3H) was being hydraulically fractured by FTS International. This is stage # 30 of 71 total stages planned for this well. They opened the wellhead at 3585psi at 12:33pm and began pumping 40/70 mesh proppant (4700lbs) at 0.5lbs/gal and then switched to 100 mesh sand (10,353lbs). The formation broke down at 8200psi and a pumping rate of 73bbls/min. They pumped sand in stages of 0.5lbs/gal, 0.75lbs/gal, 1.0lbs/gal, 1.25lbs/gal, 1.5lbs/gal, 1.75lbs/gal, and finished with 2.0lbs/gal. Each stage was pumped with increasing amounts of slick water. 346,818 pounds of proppant (sand) were put away during the job and the hole was flushed with 367 barrels of water. The average treatment pressure during the job was 8,467psi, the average rate was 85.4 barrels/minute, and the average horsepower used during the job was 17,706. A total of 8,293 barrels of water was used during the job and the instant shut-in pressure was 5252psi. The annuli between the 5.5 production casing/9.625 intermediate casing and 9.625 casing/13.375 surface casing were monitored during the job and the pressures held steady at 64psi and 38psi, respectively. All equipment is on containment and the site is in good condition. I found no violations at this time. |
1715127000 | 2017-06-29 | Preliminary Restoration | No Violations | I was on location to conduct a preliminary restoration inspection. The #3H well is in production and consists of an open-flow assembly. Jersey barriers were installed around the wellhead. The well is identified with a legibly-marked well identification sign. Identification was posted at the tank battery which consisted of ten 400 bbl production tanks, four labeled as containing produced water, and six labelled as containing condensate, and one low-pressure. The tank battery is surrounded by a dike. There are e-stops outside the barriers, and the tanks are grounded, and have static dissipaters. There is a truck grounding area for trucks collecting condensate and/or produced water. Lightning protection and a windsock are installed on top of the production tanks. Production equipment on the well pad consisted of:
5-producing wells 10- 400 bbl production tanks, four labelled as containing produced water, and six labelled as containing condensate 5 sand separators 5 gas processing units 5 low pressure vertical separator 5 vapor recovery units 1 horizontal separator 1 compressor station 2 oil stabilization units. Jersey barriers are installed around the production equipment. The access road and man doors were locked. Drainage and erosion controls at the pad are in place and functioning. A closed-loop, above-ground drilling pit system was used, so there are no earthen pits requiring closure. The pad has a crushed limestone surface, and is in good repair. The lease road was stable in in good repair. |
