2770593 | Primary Facility | 2018-08-29 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | On August 29, 2018, the Department performed an inspection of the EQT/Rice Energy Walter Stinger well site. Present at time of inspection was Andrew Harsh and Aaron Parker (EQT). The site is located in Aleppo Twp., Greene Co. The inspection was routine inspection during hydraulic fracturing operations, related to a request by the operator for a minor modification to the ESCGP1 permit.
The operator has requested a minor modification to the ESCGP1 permit to add rock check dams in the access road collection channel as needed. The minor modification was reviewed and approved by the Department in the field. At the tome of the inspection, the well pad was initially shutdown, due to a 10 gallon biocide spill on the secondary containment. The well pad was cleared to resume hydraulic fracturing operations. The AST on the well pad was filled with freshwater to test the containment. During hydraulic fracturing operations the tank will hold fresh and reuse water. The well pad secondary containment was in good co |
2777740 | Primary Facility | 2018-09-12 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | On September 12, 2018, the Department performed an inspection of the EQT/Rice Energy Stinger well site. Present at time of inspection was Carey Bell (EQT). The site is located in Aleppo Twp., Greene Co. The inspection was routine inspection during hydraulic fracturing operations.
The operator has requested a meeting on site to review the condition of the site prior to submitting a Notice of Termination for the ESCGP permit. The well site is stable with greater than 70% uniform perennial vegetative cover. The operator has reclaimed the three sediment traps on site and has removed all the E&S BMPs except for the triple stacked silt sock along the bottom of the north facing well pad fill slope. The Department would recommend termination of the ESCGP permit after the operator removes the last of the E&S BMPs on the fill slope, given the condition of the site at time of inspection. The AST on the well pad was filled with reuse water and appeared in good condition. During hydraulic fracturing operations t |
