| On October 3, 2017, the Department performed an inspection of the Rice Energy Walter Stinger well pad site. Present at time of inspection was John Carson (DEP).  The well pad is located in Aleppo Twp., Greene Co.  The inspection was related to request by the operator to terminate the ESCGP2 permit.

The Department entered into a COA with Chesapeake Appalachia LLC, dated 11/8/2015. The COA required CALLC to remediate the impacted, unnamed trib., to Harts Run, by the initial slope failure, and complete stream enhancements along Harts Run and an unnamed trib., to Mudlick Fork. The COA also accepted the stabilized and reconstructed north well pad slope as-built as approved ESCGP2 permit. The site has been transferred to Rice Energy and Rice has requested to terminate the ESCGP2 permit. The site is stable with greater than 70% vegetative cover, but triple stack silt sock and three sediment traps remain inplace (E&S  BMPs). The operator will need to remove the silt sock and reclaim the sediment traps prior to ter
