At the time of inspection, drill rig on site and drilling related activity appears to have commenced. All drilling equipment and materials located and stored within secondary containment. During inspection Department observed, what appears to be remains of a spill on to the secondary containment on which the drilling mud returns containment tanks are located. Site foreman confirmed a small release of drilling mud within the secondary containment. The spill was immediately cleaned up in accordance with policy. Additionally, the spill was completely contained by secondary containment and thus is in compliance with the reporting requirements of 78a.66. Drill permits, ERP and PPC plans located on site and appears to current.
