2653097 | Primary Facility | 2017-10-12 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | The Department accepted an amended Alternative Waste Management Practice, OG-71 Form A application in Greenport (esubmissions) on 6/27/17. The alternative waste management practices are in reference to residual waste processing and on-site liner processing, which includes drill cuttings processing and washing of liners. The application states that centrifuges are used to to separate and liquids in the drill cuttings during air and oil based mud drilling. Polymer and calcium nitrate are added prior to centrifuging to promote dewatering during air drilling. There are no chemicals added into the process during oil based mud drilling. See photos. The liner is pressure washed with fresh water in a lined bermed area with the fluid collected on containment in a vac truck and either sent to a disposal facility or a Chief well pad for reuse during hydraulic fracturing. |
