Due to recent precipitation events there is a minor erosion issue that should be addressed so as to prevent it from developing into a more serious problem. When standing at the well-head facing the stream there had been transport of sediment/shale along the silt fencing to the low point below the well pad to the left. To insure site stabilization the Department recommends that the operator regrade this area, if necessary implement topsoil for the vegetation to take hold, and re-seed and mulch the well-site to take advantage of the remainder of the growing season.
