Below grade pit had been reclaimed at the time of the inspection. E&S controls had been implemented as outlined in the E&S plan. However the site had been constructed less than 100 feet from Guffy Run, a blue lined stream on the most recent topographic quadrangle map.

Fluids tank was noted onsite and it did not appear to be leaking any fluid at the time of the inspection. No accelerated erosion & sedimentation was observed in relation to the site. The E&S controls had been implemented as outlined in the E&S plan submitted as part of the after the fact waiver application. The operator should continue to monitor the erosion controls until site reclamation activities are completed.

Brine tank onsite and it appeared to be in sound condition. Due to recent precipitation events there is a minor erosion issue that should be addressed so as to prevent it from developing into a more serious problem. When standing at the well-head facing the stream there had been transport of sediment/shale along the silt fencing to the low point below the well pad to the left. To insure site stabilization the Department recommends that the operator regrade this area, if necessary implement topsoil for the vegetation to take hold, and re-seed and mulch the well-site to take advantage of the remainder of the growing season.
