2396144 Primary Facility 2015-07-29 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted The Department inspected the Talisman Energy – Moretz Well Pad, ESX09-015-0083, in Wells Twp., Bradford Co. on 7/20/2015 at 1230 hours. 7/29/2015: Returned to the site location @ 1200 hours to obtain soil EC readings. The EC in the dead/distressed vegetation area near the pad edge was measured at 7.06 mS/cm , using a Hanna soil conductivity meter. The readings decreased to 3.66 mS/cm and 1.37 mS/cm as the soil conductivity was measured further down the swath, away from the pad. Talisman Energy was contacted regarding the findings, and advised to investigate further. Talisman notified the Department it is sending a consultant to the location to delineate the area of elevated soil conductivity. They will obtain a soil sample to analyze for the DEP’s brine parameter list. Talisman will contact the Department with their findings. A follow-up inspection will be conducted. No violations issued at this time.
