2850615 | Primary Facility | 2019-03-06 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | Department representative Sue Herzing conducted a routine site inspection of Seneca Resources Rich Valley Pad F and Freshwater Impoundment (FWI) on March 6, 2019.
The well pad and surrounding areas were snow covered. No E&S issues were observed during the time of my inspection. No staining or spills were observed on the well pad. There are (6) producing Marcellus wells located on this pad (023-20160, 023-20161, 023-20162, 023-20163, 023-20164, and 023-20165). All well-heads are tagged with API/Permit number. All well cellars were frozen. There are (6) GPU's stationed on the pad and (3) 400 bbl. vertical, steel production fluids tanks spotted in a modular secondary containment. Water within this containment was frozen. I observed some rusting streaks on the exterior of the produced fluids tanks. The Department recommends the operator continue to monitor the tanks and replace them if needed. An approved extension of the well pad on the SW end remains in place ~ 350' L x 140' W.
