Brine and oil tanks located onsite. Both appeared to be in sound condition. The site had been properly regraded and the well was located in a crop field and the tanks were offset on the access road. The area which had been affected by the oil/brine release had been excavated and the excavated material was located onsite. This material was on plastic and was covered. The operator should complete remedial actions upon receipt of subsequent sample results which show that all affected media had been excavated. In addition the operator should forward the requested follow-up documentation as outlined in the 04/16/12 inspection and corresponding NOV.
2075494 2012-06-08 No Violations Noted Well appeared to be equipped for production. Brine tanks located onsite and they appeared to be in sound condition. The areas which had been affected by the production fluid discharge had been effectively regraded, however they still required either seeding and mulching or rock for stabilization purposes. A review of the requested sample result documentation for confirmatory samples found that the operator had effectively excavated and removed the affected media. This material appeared to still be located onsite on plastic and covered. Upon proper disposal of the material the operator should forward documentation to WQS Higgins outlining where and how this material was disposed of.
