INSPECTION ID DATE DESCRIPTION COMMENT VIOLATION ID VIOLATION CODE VIOLATION COMMENT
1941638 2011-01-07 No Violations Noted
1943417 2011-01-05 No Violations Noted Well site constructed. Drilling has not yet commenced. No equipment on site.

Site id sign in place. E&S plan on site. Access road was stable, with no signs of accelerated erosion. BMP's in place, and adequately maintained.

  • Contacted operator representative Joanne to discuss potential issues with the drill pit, which was excavated out, but not yet lined as well
disposal of drill cuttings. E&S plan on site identified the soil type as Cavode silt loam, with a depth to Seasonal High Water Table
(SHWT) of 6-12 inches. E&S plan also stated that the drill cuttings would be encapsulated on site. I informed Joanne that with the cut into the bank where the pit was located already at 15 to 18 feet, the pit was not at least 20 inches above SHWT. The unlined pit that was on site was already filled with water and frozen over. Also, with such a shallow depth to SHWT the drill cuttings could not be encapsulated, and would have to be disposed of at an approved landfill. Operator indicated they would have a soil scientist evaluate the soil.
