1534342491 2018-08-15 Production Wells Violations Noted I conducted an inspection on this well. The well was equipped with a pumping unit and the valves on the tubing and flow line were open. Production records submitted for this well were current. The tank battery consisted of one 210 BBL tank and a mechanical separator. Valves on the separator were open. There were oily absorbant rags piled up behind the separator within the diked battery. There was no evidence of an active leak during this inspection, but the area the absorbant rags were located was stained from a previous release. The diked tank battery had legible signage, however the company name and current phone number needs to be updated. The lease access was stable. I contacted Samurai Operating Company and spoke with Sam Skipper (713-203-0292), regarding the signage needing updated and removal of absorbant rags. Mr. Skipper stated that he would contact the well tender immediately to take care of the issues.
1536247057 2018-08-28 Production Wells No Violations I conducted a compliance notice follow-up for compliance notice 1534342491. At the time of this inspection, the compliance issues have been addressed regarding the signage at the tank battery and the oily absorbant rags within the tank battery. The signage has been updated to reflect current owner information, and the used, oily absorbant rags have been cleaned up. Compliance notice closed.
