| Arrived on site to find a 2'' water pump set at n-w corner of blow pit . There was a 2'' rubber hose from pump 40' then hooked to 2'' plastic flowline . The 2'' plastic line then run west on top of surface 600' when it turned north for another 300' . The line had a hammer union connection at this point , which was not connected . I then smelled a very strong odor of oilfield brine . There were sevaral large puddles of fluid running n-e of 2'' plastic pipe . 1176 quantab readings of fluid showed chloride levels off the scale of the quantab { 6000+  ppm } . I then observerd a area of dead vegetation and trees in a 150' diameter along route brine traveled , the kill area the narrowed to 10'-20' and traveled another 250'+ n-e where the kill area ended .                                                                                                                                                                                I then collected water samples at beginning of spill . I took several photos { water pump location , 2'' plastic pipe & kill area } . Water samples were transported to lab for analsis . I contacted Bob Anderson and advised of immediate clean-up needed { remove all free standing brine from kill area } .  The case # given to this investigation is # 06-013 in complaint log .
