+ | | I was on location to observe the plugging of the Akzo # 56 solution mining well. The 7 tubing was hung in the 8.625 production casing, stretch calcutions indicated a freepoint at about 1000 down. After circulating and reciprocating the 7 tubing, it became free after pulling 105,000 lbs ( ~ 43,300 lbs over string weght ) After dragging out for the first five (5) joints of 7 Key Well Services was able to remove 67 joints of 7 ( 23lb/ft with slim hole collars ). Approximate tally was 2680. Preparations were be made to test the mechanical integrity of the 8.625 production casing. No violations identified during this inspection.

− | + | | I was on the Akzo # 56 location to observe the setting of the mechanical bridge plug and the Mechanical Ingetrity Testing dry run test. Baker Hughes Services previously ran a Segmented Bond Tool - Gamma Ray Log for cement bond evaluation. The bond quality was deemed adequate to proceed with the placement of the Bridge Plug and MIT pretest. Key Energy Services (KES) ran 2.875 tubing with a Mechanical Bridge Plug ( MBP) to be set at 2496 GL. The MBP was set with pressure pumped down the tubing at 3300 psi. KES removed the tubing from the 8.625 casing to recover the setting tool on the end of the tubing. KES ran the tubing back into the casing to run the simulated M I T procedure. Pressure was increased on the 8.625 casing to 580 psi. The five (5) pressure decline allowance calculated to be 29 psi. The pressure decline exceeded the allowable within 30 seconds. A number of leaks were repaired and the casing was pressurized twice again with the same decline profile. This testing was a dry run to identify possible pressure losses. Cargill Inc. personnel ( Mike Schumacher ) shut down for the day to wait for Universal Well Services to be on location on the next morning. No violations identified during this inspection.

+ | | A total of 2460 feet of seven inch tubing was recovered previously. The casing was scraped. A Weatherford DB-8 bridge plug was set at 2440 feet. The plug passed a pressure test. The well was plugged in stages, through tubing, from the bridge plug to the surface. A total of 926 sacks of Type-1 cement were used. All conditions were acceptable.

− | + | | I was on the Akzo # 56 site to witness the topping off of the 8.625 casing with nine (9) sack grout. After the initial top plug fell back to 22 down the casing Cargill Inc. filled the open pipe with approximately one (1) cubic yard of nine (9) sack grout to the top. Orrville Ready Mix supplied the grout. R G Smith were welding the required I D plate as I left location. No violations identified during this inspection.
