Inspection ID Inspection Date Inspection Type Inspection Result Inspection Comments
1324669630 2015-07-17 Orphan No Violations I inspected this suspected well location at the request of the existing land owner (Complaint # 5082). The land owner reports that the well has been on the property for as long as anyone can remember. At the time of this inspection I observed the following: a wellhead with 3-bolt lid in a 30-inch round, masonry-type subsurface vault with a round lid covering. Much of the vault interior has become filled in with dirt and leaf debris over time, leaving only the top of the wellhead visible. I noted a gas odor but no sustained meter-detectable levels. There were apparent remnants of a former domestic supply connection. The area surrounding the well was noted to be comprised of a generally flat-lying area with tress and grassy lawn adjacent to the Chagrin River. Access to the well is from the residential driveway. Some potential overhead obstructions from close proximity trees exists.
