2811276 | Primary Facility | 2018-12-06 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | Weather was 32° and cloudy at time of inspection. Met with PGE representative Dick Patrick on location. A crew was on site setting cellars in place at time of inspection. Well was a spud conductor. There was a steel plate covering the casing at time of inspection. 0% combustible gas was detected anywhere around the well at time of inspection. No violations were noted at time of inspection. |
2845883 | Primary Facility | 2019-02-22 | Drilling/Alteration | No Violations Noted | Inspection conducted in response to a notification of drilling resumption after a break of 30 days or more, received on February 19, 2019. I met with Chris Smeltz, company man for PGE, upon arriving at the site. He informed me that they were preparing to resume drilling on the 2757 well. The surface casing has already been drilled, cased, and cemented on all six wells on the pad. Now, PGE will be drilling down to the kickoff point. So far, all drilling has been conducted using water-based drilling mud. Diesel mud will not be utilized until they begin to drill below the kickoff point. PGE will drill all 6 wells down to the kickoff before drilling below the kickoff. He also informed me that when the rig was last moved, a tear was discovered in the secondary containment and was repaired on the same day. He said that no release to the pad occurred as a result of the tear. I walked the pad along with the company man and did not find any issues. Secondary containment appeared to be in good condition.
