0633288022 2005-04-18 Final Restoration No Violations Spoke to operator Bob Harpster by phone. He said 3 wells plugged for I&O on Coleman property have been cut off and ID plate attached. Operator did not notify inspector as requested so that ID plate placement could be observed. There is no sign of well casing at surface. Small amounts of broken cement were noted on the ground surface. The field has been recently planted. Final restoration will be recommended for approval.
1107278643 2005-02-01 Orphan No Violations Operator attempted to plug well but had equipment problems. Bob Harpster thought that there was too much resistance at a depth of approximately 600 feet where old tubing was not able to be removed. Pump blew off hoses and finally blew hose while trying to plug well. Cement truck had to leave site. Bob thought that plugging at depth of approximately 400 may allow cement to circulate. This is below the fresh water zone. He indicated that the depth was previously approved by Dave Hodges. Inspector will verify.
