0070970199 | 2003-10-01 | Production Wells | Violations Noted | Paul Craemer with Power Gas Marketing reported a gas leak and crude oil/brine spill on their Pochedly gas system. The three inch sales line failed and released natural gas to the atmosphere and approximately 10 barrels of oil and/or brine onto the ground. The company responded with a dozer, a backhoe and dump truck. The leak was exposed and repaired and the impacted soil was transported to the Garrettsville yard. The clean-up was nearly completed when I left the site. |
1039983744 | 2002-12-05 | Production Wells | Violations Noted | CASE 02-073 The Uniontown office received an anonymous complaint on December 5, concerning the repair of a gas pipeline leak in Hiram Township, Portage County. The leak occurred under the driveway of the Giordano home at 11129 Limeridge Road (330-274-2716). The three inch gas line is owned and operated by Power Gas Marketing (330-527-5630). The leak occurred on December 3 and resulted in both gas and oil coming to the surface along the south side of the asphalt driveway, 15 feet west of Limeridge. Both Power Gas and Hiram Fire Department personnel responded to leak. Neither party notified MRM. The anonymous complainant is the landowner. On December 5, I arrived on site at 13:00 and was informed by Paul Cramer with Power Gas that the pipeline was uncovered but the leak could not be located. He was preparing to backfill the trench without replacing, clamping or otherwise repairing the leak. I requested that the section under the driveway be replaced. After a phone conference with John Firko, with Power Gas, the section will be replaced as soon as a welder can be scheduled. The landowner was informed of and approved of this plan. |
1472669260 | 2016-08-23 | Production Wells | No Violations | Follow-up to water well complaint #5412 concerning methane in a water well that was drilled in December of 2015. This well is located just outside the quarter mile area of review and was inspected today. My inspection found the well equipped with an electric powered pumping unit. A gauge on the flow line indicates a pressure of 110psi at the wellhead. The well produces to a diked tank battery containing one (1) 210 barrel tank, a brine vault, and a horizontal separator. The proper ID is posted on the tank. The 8.625 surface casing head is not exposed and is below grade, so there is no access to the annular port to determine if the annulus between the 4.5 production casing and 8.625 surface casing is over pressurized. I spoke with Kyle Ahbel (Enervest) and asked him to expose the annular port on the surface casing so it could be gauged and monitored. He told me he would let me know when it was excavated. |
1548308260 | 2009-05-22 | Production Wells | No Violations | The Uniontown office received a call from Tom Ford (440-742-6011) at 5928 Pioneer Trail with a complaint about house gas supply and accessability. He claims that he purchased the house six years ago and has never had house gas. He also claims that Exco cut the house line and did not repair it when they were working on their salesline last year. Excos response is that their contractor did not cut any lines when they inserted the existing salesline. They also claim that they would gladly turn on the house gas as soon as the owner can provide a properly operating supply system. I advised Mr. Ford that Exco was not in violation and that the house supply was a legal matter with Exco. |
1610427542 | 2002-12-12 | Production Wells | No Violations | The leaking section of gas line was replaced, the trench backfilled and the driveway repaved. Met with the landowner , Tim Giordano (330-274-2716) who was satisfied with the results. The violation has been corrected. |
