Inspections Performed

Inspection ID Inspection Date Inspection Type Inspection Result Inspection Comments
0669463705 2019-04-30 Production Wells No Violations On the day of my inspection I met with Mike Graham to confirm the status of and assist with identifying the oil and gas wells on his family farm. I found that well was equipped with a natural gas powered pumping unit. The engine, drive belts and fuel line were intact. The flow lines were connected at the wellhead and the valves were open. The polished rod showed signs of recent use. There was some oil staining in the soil around the wellhead. Mike said that one of his cows had licked the valve open, resulting in a mist of oil sprayed across the dirt. I suggested that he put some peat down and shovel the affected soil up. There was a pop-off valve venting gas off the casing. There was no identification posted at the wellhead. The production equipment is shared with permits 4161, 4310 and 0791. The production equipment consisted of two 100 barrel steel tanks and one 20 barrel poly tank in an earthen dike. There were no leaks around the tanks. There was also one 100 barrel steel tank located on the west side of the property, on Church Rd., where the oil is hauled from. There was no identification on any of the tanks. I explained the identification requirements to Mike and he assured me that they would get everything in compliance. The wells transferred ownership on 3/20/19 and I told Mike he has 60 days to get the identification updated.
