0206254989 | 2012-11-27 | Plug / Plug Back | No Violations | At the time of my inspection the bentonite from the plug set on 11/26 was still at 3 from the surface. The drilling fluids were being removed by Frantz Ent. and all restoration of the site will be completed by the Hancock County Landfill per their request. This includes the removal of all solids and the closing of the pit. |
0811143763 | 2012-11-20 | Orphan | No Violations | At the time of my inspection, 16 of additional 8 casing was added to the top of the drive casing and shoved down into the bedrock. Circulation was then established and cleanout continued to 400 with some clay and gravel returns in the drilling fluid. At that point the returns turned to mostly water for about forty feet to 440 when a small gas pocket was encountered followed by clay and shale returns. The cleanout continued to about 500 before stopping for the day. |
1065106203 | 2012-11-06 | Orphan | No Violations | At the time of my inspection there was no activity on site and the plugging contractor indicated that plugging operations would start up again later in the week. |
1143027050 | 2012-11-21 | Plug / Plug Back | No Violations | At the time of my inspection cleanout continued slowly to about 700 due to increased amounts of clay and shale that has swelled in the wellbore. Cleanout was stopped after losing some circulation around the back side of the 8 drive casing. The decision was made to plug the well at this depth which will isolate the Trenton at 1200 from the bottom Big Lime at 450. A plug was set through 1.5 tubing from 720 to 235 using 61 sacks of Class A cement. Good circulation was maintained throughout the plug, which was also witnessed and approved by groundwater officials from Ohio EPA. |
1322252564 | 2011-10-27 | Production Wells | No Violations | 8 inch casing sticking up 6 above grade at bottom of a barrow pit at Hancock Co. Landfill. Response to Complaint # 3400. Right of Entry given to John Williamson of Arcadis. |
1352215284 | 2012-11-05 | Orphan | No Violations | At the time of my inspection the well is being prepared for a temporary wellhead and plugging equipment was moved on site. |
1353011741 | 2012-11-15 | Plug / Plug Back | No Violations | At the time of my inspection the plugging contractor had a drill head on the existing 8 drive pipe and were cleaning out the wellbore using a 7 7/8 bit. Circulation was maintained till around 60 when water and trace amounts of oil started leaking around the outside of the 8. The hole was dilled down to 72 (roughly 12 into the bedrock) and filled the hole with 5 sacks of cement then the pipe was brought up to 32 feet and any excess cement above that point was washed out. Then two, 32 joints of 7 casing were ran to 64. This should leave the bottom joint filled and surrounded with cement and the top joint free. This will allow the drill head to be put on the 7 and achieve circulation but allow them to remove the top 32 of 7 casing upon plugging of the well at the request of Arcadis. Plugging operations are scheduled to resume on 11/19/12. |
1354196858 | 2012-11-26 | Plug / Plug Back | No Violations | At the time of my inspection the cement was tagged at 235 with the bailer before running 1.5 pipe to 230. The well was then filled with 9 sack grout from 235 to 24 and with Hole Plug bentonite from 24 to 3 at the request of the Hancock County Landfill. |
1681343032 | 2012-11-28 | Final Restoration | No Violations | At the time of my inspection all restorations have been completed. All casings were removed from the well and no plate was left for identification at the request of the Hancock County Landfill. This will allow for the further excavation of the site for use at the landfill. Final Restoration Passed. |
1709177820 | 2012-11-19 | Orphan | No Violations | At the time of my inspection the cement set around the 7 liner casing was not evident and both joints of 7 were removed from the wellbore. Upon removal of the 7, the 8 drive casing moved down so the plugging crew stopped for the day and will bring more 8 to add to the drive casing and push down into the bedrock. |
