0329461066 2016-03-17 Orphan No Violations My visit today was to confirm the access to the well, the equipment on the well and on the ground surrounding the well. Access off the highway is 39.49031, -81.10008 and has been marked on the guard rail. The pull-off on State Route 7 that will be used is at 39.48925, -81.10054. The well is now leaking oil from around the wellhead which is almost buried. There is an open port that oil is escaping from leaving an area 1 x 1 of oil. There was no gas detected and no odor. There is 1 tubing on a gas escape packer and 2.375 tubing reduced down to 1 tubing with a valve on top. There is much tubing, casing and 2 sales line on the ground around the well. Well lies about 10-20 east of the low overhead phone line. The briars are very thick. Pictures taken
1393851638 2014-01-10 Orphan No Violations My inspection this day for #8606 found THIS orphan well, also on Wayne National Forest ground, sitting idle. This well consists of a wellhead buried in the ground with 2 tubing and 1 tubing on a gas escape packer (wellhead indicates gas escape packer - can see the 1). Production casing not visible. The 2 becomes 1 and has a closed valve on the end - it is not connected to a sales line. The well is 100 off the northwest edge of St. Rt. 7 and lies between the overhead lines on poles and the highway, about 20 east of the overhead line. Access to the well is directly off the highway where the culvert is located and there exists a faint trail to the well. There is no information about this well and it has only recently been given a permit number (like the well 500 to the north - #8606, already in the Orphan Well Program - both wells are believed to be of the same age and depth). There is a 3rd well located on the map (#62123) but an inspection could not locate it. Pictures taken, SEM is 115.
