0521684697 | 2017-12-13 | Completion Testing | No Violations | On the date of my inspection I found a well maintained access road with a locked gate. The pad is surrounded by a fenced earthen dike covered by healthy vegetation. There are 4 recently drilled wells on the pad surrounded by metal fences. The wells have not been hydraulically fractured yet. Production equipment on the pad includes, 4 sand separators, 4 gas production units, and two 500 barrel tanks within a metal dike. The production equipment is surrounded by concrete barriers. There is a garbage roll off container being stored on the pad near the lease road entrance. |
1502463719 | 2017-08-04 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | On the date of my inspection I found Precision Drilling rigged up and ready to begin spudding this well. They are currently waiting on the permit to be issued. Once they receive the permit, they will begin digging the cellar then drill the conductor to approximately 110 feet. They will set a basket at approximately 50 feet due to an expected mine void at 60 feet. There are currently 3 other wells with set surface casing on this pad. |
1506669205 | 2017-09-29 | Casing String Witnessed | No Violations | I am on site to witness the cementing of 13.375 inch surface casing. Pioneer Drilling rig 77 drilled a 17.5 inch diameter hole to a depth of approximately 1423 feet and set 1422 feet of 13.375 inch 61 pound per foot casing. O-Tex established circulation with fresh water, pumped 35 barrels of gel ahead, then pumped 1470 sacks of class H cement, 1.2 yield and 15.6 pound per gallon, Surface Set. O-Tex displaced with 210 barrels of fresh water. Approximately 60 barrels of cement returned to surface. The wiper plug landed and pressure was increased to approximately 500 pounds per square inch (psi) over pump pressure, the casing held approximately 1050 psi for 5 minutes. |
1507641719 | 2017-10-10 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | On the date of my inspection I found Pioneer rig 77 drilling the production section of this well at approximately 14200 feet. Ascent expects to reach the total depth for this well on 10/12/17. They did not encounter any hydrogen sulfide gas while drilling into the Utica formation like they did on a previous well on this pad. During my inspection I found multiple tears and punctures in the containment near the chemical storage area. The company man indicated that the repair crew was scheduled to come out this afternoon. All of the chemicals were within containment. The pad is surrounded by a fenced earthen dike covered by healthy vegetation. The pad drain valves are in the closed position and do not appear to be leaking. |
1788903268 | 2017-08-08 | Casing String Witnessed | No Violations | I am on site today to witness the cementing of 30 inch conductor casing. Precision Drilling drilled a 36 inch diameter hole to a depth of 110 feet and ran 110 feet of 30 inch diameter 118 pound per foot conductor casing. C & J Energy Services pumped 441 sacks of class A cement, 1.18 yield, 15.6 pounds per gallon with 2 percent Calcium Chloride and 0.25 pound per sack flow seal. C & J then displaced with 83 barrels of water, leaving 10 feet of cement in the casing. A cement basket was ran at approximately 54 feet in case the predicted void at 60 feet opened up during the cement job. Good cement returned to surface and remained static. Approximately 4 barrels of cement returned to surface but fell back approximately 1 foot. Ascent will have Precision top out the cellar with grout prior to drilling the mouse hole. |
