1161629611 2006-10-23 Production Wells Violations Noted Division of Wildlife officer, Rick Luttit, discovered a plastic line leading from 300 barrel tank to a small building. When he looked inside the building, water was running from line to a hole in the ground. He called Division of Mineral Resources inspector Bob Worstall to investigate. Bob arrived and determined it to be brine coming from the tank to the ground. 5 gallons per minute was discharging. The water was oilfield brine. Owner of the tank battery and well is Heartland Oil and Gas. Peter Mongue was notified of the violations. No identification was posted on tanks or wells. I arrived on 10-23-2006 and met with Rick Luttit and Heartlands crew. Moved the small building and dug down four feet under the concreete floor and found pea gravel and sand. Water was leaching in ground. I advised Peter Mongue the 300 barrel tank must be removed and scald area, five feet x thirty feet must be cleaned of brine contamination. Wildlife is talking with the procecutor and filing charges. I recommend concent aggreement by the Division of Mineral Resources Management. Cold, snow flurries,40 degrees.
