0313235302 | 2014-01-20 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | I was not on site to witness the surface casing cement job because it was a Holiday (Martin Luther King Day). I obtained the information for the cement job while I was on site to witness the cementing of the 9 5/8 inch intermediate casing. Patterson Rig # 261 drilled a 17.5 inch hole to a total depth of 458 feet and ran 444 feet of 13 3/8 inch surface casing. They installed 4 bowspring centralizers on the casing string, on joints 1,2,5,and 8. O-TEX cemented the casing with 420 sacks of Class H 2% CaCl, 0.4% C-41P, and 1/4 pound per sack celloflake. The cement had a density of 15.6 pounds per gallon, a yield of 1.2 cubic feet per sack, and they used 5.25 gallons of mix water per sack. O-TEX pumped 90 barrels of cement slurry, 62.3 barrels of displacement, and there was 15 barrels of cement returns to surface. NOTE: I obtained the casing and cement information from the Wade Gray (Company Man) and the O-TEX cement job log. |
0844152595 | 2014-01-22 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | I was on site to witness the cementing of the 9 5/8 inch intermediate casing. My inspection revealed that Patterson Rig # 261 has drilled a 12 1/4 inch to a total depth of 1760 feet and ran 1750 feet of 9 5/8 inch intermediate casing (40 pounds per foot / inside diameter 8.835 inches). They installed 15 bowspring centralizers on the casing string, on joints 1,2,4,7,10,13,16,19,22,25,28,31,34,37, and 40. O-TEX cemented the casing with 670 sacks of Class H 3% Gypsum, 2% CaCl, 0.8% MC-500, 0.5% C-45, 0.4% C-41P. The cement had a density of 15.6 pounds per gallon, a yield of 1.22 cubic feet per sack, and they used XX gallons of mix water per sack. O-TEX pumped XXX barrels of cement slurry, 126 barrels of displacement, and there was XX barrels of cement returns to surface. They bumped the plug at XX:XX am with XXX PSI and then bumped the pressure up to XXXX for the casing test. Casing test approved at this time, floats held, and there was approximately 1/2 flowback when the pressure was released. |
1051254495 | 2015-12-23 | Preliminary Restoration | No Violations | I was on location to conduct a preliminary restoration inspection. The well is equipped with a plunger lift unit. Jersey barriers were installed around the wellhead. The well is properly identified with a clear, legibly-marked well identification sign. The tank battery consisted of eight, 400 BBL production tanks and was diked. The tanks are located within a spray-lined and sealed secondary containment. There are e-stops outside the barriers, and the tanks are grounded, and have static dissipators. There is a truck grounding area for trucks collecting condensate and/or produced water. Lightning protection and a windsock are installed on top of the production tanks. Other production equipment on the well pad consisted of:
Jersey barriers are installed around the production equipment. The entire well pad is enclosed with a six-foot high, chain link fence with three-strand barbed wire and the man doors were locked. Along the interior of the chain link fence there is an earthen berm and it was stable. The soil stockpile is well-stabilized with vegetation. Drainage and erosion controls at the pad are in place and functioning. A closed-loop, above-ground drilling pit system was used, so there are no earthen pits requiring closure. The pad has a crushed limestone surface, and is in good repair. The lease road is stable and drivable. Preliminary restoration passed. |
1944937571 | 2013-11-10 | Drill / Deepen / Reopen | No Violations | I was on site to witness the cementing of the 20 inch conductor casing. My inspection revealed that Precision has drilled a 26 inch hole to a total depth of 120 feet and ran 120 feet of 20 inch conductor casing (94 pounds per foot / 19.124 inch inside diameter). Allied cemented the conductor casing with 226 sacks of Class A 2% CaCl and 1/2 pound per sack floseal. The cement had a density of 15.6 pounds per gallon, a yield of 1.18 cubic feet per sack, and they used 5.23 gallons of mix water per sack. Allied pumped 47 barrels of cement slurry, 39 barrels of displacement, and there was 8 barrels of cement returns to surface. My inspection revealed no violations at this time. |
