1367328114 | 2013-04-29 | I inspected this production property as a follow to a noise complaint initiated by Janet Tucker. Originally this well was completed as a Plunger Lift and subsequently sold to Transcontinental Oil & Gas. Transcontinental converted the well to a pumping well operated by a gas motor. Since the drilling of the C-M Property #1 a Condo Development was built within 300 feet of the wellhead. I placed a call to Cal Marks ( Transcontinental O & G ) to inquire about noise abatement measures. Since the muffler was originaly pointed directly toward Mrs. Tucker's residence I asked that he redirect the muffler in the opposite direction, which he complied. Secondly, he had constructed a metal shroud to completely encompass the motor which provided additional noise suppresion. I told to keep all the bearings on the Pumping unit well lubricated. The measures take on noise mitigation are effective. |
