-476099705 2012-10-09 Well has not been found at this site. According to Linda Slater the well was owned by Gary Sipes, Alco Geologic Services, Box E 5917 Mahood Drive, Huntington, WVA. This well is in the Ice Creek Land development . Location of this well is questionable. It probably has been destroyed due to excavation activities due to this development. Presently they are excavating and demolishing silos for the Alpha Portland Cement Company. Cecil Pennington, Project Manager for the developers claimed he thought they found a well. I will try to contact him when we travel to Ironton to visit the Courthouse in Lawrence County and go to the site to look at the possible well.
541667557 2013-07-10 Well is located in the Ice Creek Land Development Site that Jon Scott and I have visited numerous times in the past for different inspection purposes. This is at a mine permit site and Portland cement manufacturing facility. I checked RBDMS and scanned files in Columbus for any information on location of this well. There was no information to assist in this effort. Went to location as depicted on Delorme but could not find well.
979260746 2012-10-11 Tried to contact Cecil Pennington, Ice Creek Land Development representative. Left message and Jon Scott and I went to the site in the chance to meet Cecil. He was not at the site. We looked around but didn't venture very far since excavation was active. Didn't see anything that looked like a well.
