Plugged well 4-22-2002 and landowner contacted MRM to advise well is leaking gas at surface. Wants to build a home near well location. Met with Roger Blodgett and Craig Lapatka to uncover well and determine gas source. Located well 7 ' below grade and gas is leaking between 8 and 10 casing. No casing records of well. Visible casing at time of plugging was 5.5 and 8 casings. Gas is 4% lel at top of casing. Advised Roger Blodgett to weld a new plate over 10 casing and attach a valve to shut in gas on 10 casing.Cloudy, windy, cold 25 degrees.

Spoke to adjoining landowner concerning plugging of this well. Well has 7" and 5" casing above ground. Dozer and backhoe on location. Township will install culvert pipe on 3-19-2002.
