1328538705 | 2012-02-05 | Surface cement job. The pit was of sufficient size to handle the water from the Big Injun Sand, a mud pump was on site and 60' of blow line was being used while they were drilling on air. Once they hit the water in the Injun they switched to drilling on fluid. 64' feet of 9 5/8" conductor was used in a 12 1/4" borehole. 1025' of 7" surface casing was set in 1035' of 8 3/4" a borehole with 160 sacks class A cement. Good circulation was established and good cement returns were seen. After the pumps were shut off the cement top dropped roughly 30', so we let the cement set up for half an hour and then grouted to the surface with 21 sacks of Class A. The cement top stayed at the surface. | ||||
