-789819381 2014-08-02 The operator called to notify me of a lightning strike at this tank site. The tank struck was empty as it had been bottomed out because of a spill (leak) several years ago. Only some splatter from the tank left the dike and it was remediated immediately. The empty/struck tank was removed.

1905769374 2014-08-04 The lightning struck tank flew 450-75' over an adjacent tank and over an Amish school and into a pasture field. There was no collateral damage. The little oil that escaped the dike was cleaned up with oil Gator. The tank had been bottomed out in preparation to remove it. The tank has been removed from the landing site.
