1232487867 2009-01-13 Equipment moved in on site and drill rig set up over well. Nobody on site.
1232723964 2009-01-22 Operator on site drilling. Have reached depth of approximately 500 feet. Discussion with operator indicates that steel obstruction may be encountered at depth approximately 900 feet. This information comes from Roger France who worked on crew that drilled and plugged the well in 1959. A drill and plug report are available with the well. The well was a dry hole. Sand was used to backfill the well. After 880 feet of 7 inch casing was removed a large piece of steel was dumped down the well according to Roger. Will discuss scenario with Jeff Fry.
1232732144 2009-01-23 Operator reached depth of 925 feet when encountered obstruction in hole. Dave said it appeared to be steel as reported by Roger France who was on the crew that drilled and plugged the well in 1959. Refer to previous inspection report for more detail. Approval given to plug well at that depth by Jeff Fry. Operator pumped 9 yards of cement into well for bottom plug. Will check depth of cement on Monday and complete plug of well.
1232998297 2009-01-26 Cement from bottom plug set up at depth 420 feet. Operator ran 420 feet (21 joints) of 2 inch tubing into well, then poured 9 sack grout into well by reverse grouting method. Water displaced to tank. Tubing removed and noted cement on the last 10 joints of tubing. More 9 sach grout poured into well until cement to surface. Removed 5 feet of 8 inch pipe at surface where pipe was broken.
1233161491 2009-01-27 Operator removed 5 feet of 8 inch surface pipe, placed ID maker on well and backfilled pit. All equipment and debris removed. Final restoration is acceptable.
