-1326513745 | 2014-04-09 | Accompanied Inspector Andy Thomas to respond to a reported spill at this well. This well was recently purchased by Stonebridge Operating Co. but it is not yet on their bond. Land owner Pete Wainwright clipped the load line for the production tank on this well with his lawnmower, releasing brine from the load line. The brine covered an area approximately 2' x 12'. Stonebridge Operating sent a well tender to the site promptly to fix the leaking load line and remove the contaminated soil. Upon routine inspection, this well is equipped with a pumping unit and electric motor above 8.625" surface casing, 4.5" intermediate casing, and 2" production tubing. All valves were in the open position. | ||||
-878139046 | 2014-04-09 | I received a phone call from landowner Mr. Pete Waybright at 11:06 am stating that he clipped the load line with his lawn mower and it was leaking brine. When I arrived on site I observed the cut in the line. It sprayed a mist of brine over an area 12 ft. by 2 ft. Approximately 2 gallons of brine was released on the ground. Pumper Mr. Charlie Buckalew was on site. He stopped the leak on the line, then removed the line from Mr. Waybright's yard. Affected soil will removed and disposed of properly. Mr. Buckalew stated that he wants to bury the line from the tank battery to the road to prevent future accidents. I was accompanied by Inspector LJ Parkins. |
