1236093028 2009-03-03 Called by Tim Kessler of Columbia Gas Transmission to investigate an oil spill at 20075 Vermont St. north of SR 18. I found an abandoned Berea well with open 5 casing at ground level. Heavy snow has melted and ran down well bore. Well filled with water and floated crude oil to surface and out on ground. Approximately 2-3 gallons spread on ground and lease road leading to Columbia Gas storage well. Columbia Gas is attaching a riser to the 5 casing until orphan well program can plug the well. It is on property at 38690 Short Rd. Need to investigate landowners name. Snow, 20 degrees.
