-1340638010 | 2012-02-23 | I received a call from Bob Adams of American Natural Gas informing me a gas line of theirs had been cut by a road crew and a small amount of oil had escaped from the line. When I arrived the crew had been cleaning the site all day. Roughly 2-3 gallons of oil had been released from the line and flown into a drainage ditch and ultimately into Thomas Fork. Absorbent pads were being used to remove oil. A siphon damn had been installed in the drainage ditch and all of the contaminated soils had been removed. A water truck had removed the oil from the water in the ditch. I had the crew removed oily materials from the creek and string booms across ditch and the creek. The Ohio EPA was contacted and I informed the spill response crew about the efforts that had been made to remediate the spill. | 9-1-07 | |||
