26074186 2002-02-26 WEATHER CONDITIONS: Cloudy with snow furies and 33 degrees. CHIEF'S ORDERS No. 93-304 & 305. Accompanied by Mr. Porterfield. Inspection revealed no electricity to the well, and no drive belt to motor. Well has permit No. on the electric box, and well No. on the pumping unit.
33194775 2012-04-30 The Division received a landowner complaint alleging all Berea wells owned by Bud Porterfield have been idle for approximately 12 years. An inspection revealed that this well was idle. The well contained an attached pumping unit, motor, with no electric, belts, or attached production lines from the well. Therefore, no house gas or commercial gas sales at this time. The polish rod showed no signs of production and tank battery did not contain attached production line(s). Note: Tank battery consisting of (3) 100 bbl tanks are located opposite side of road on SR 586. Note: RBDMS currently shows well "PA" plugged and abandoned. Verified well location with GPS. No identification observed at well or tank battery. Records show zero production for 1998, which was the last year for reported production. On 4/9/2012, at 8:54 AM, Mr. Porterfield was verbally informed of complaint and status of well(s) and instructed to plug or produce. Furthermore, additional wells would need to be inspected to cover all wells on Stevens property. Mr. Porterfield stated that he sold wells 2-3 years ago on non-related property to a guy and called 1 year ago and nothing done; No assignment at Licking Co. Recorders Office; Spoke with 3-4 people about wells on Stevens property; and would talk with his attorney today. NONE
