1214979191 2013-08-07 The landowner, Mrs. Wanda Augsburger, called me today at 8:56 AM to discuss status of the orphan well on her property. Mrs. Augsburger stated that a few years ago a guy come onto the property and filled the well with dirt and buried the casing below the surface. Mrs. Augsburger does not remember who this person was only that people had occassionally looked at the well since it had been in the orphan well program. She confirmed that the well is not in the driveway and her husband would locate the well location for me. Note: Mrs. Augsburger stated they have no interest in the Landowner Grant Program.
1375886862 2013-08-01 An inspection revealed no sign of a wellbore on property at 15121 Bowling Green Rd. The current coordinates within RBDMS place the well in a vegetated area between an asphalt driveway. The perimeter of this residence was also checked but no well or oilfield debris could be found. A business card was left at the residence for the landowner requesting a return call to discuss well status.
1376927461 2013-08-08 An inspection of this orphan well revealed no visible casing at the surface or signs of leakage. The landowner Mrs. Wanda Augsburger had stated by telephone that someone came to the residence a few years ago and shoveled dirt into the well and covered it up. She further stated that her husband could locate the well for me. During the inspection, her children showed me the alleged well location to the right of driveway (facing house) within a wooded area at broken field tile location and 5' from a 2' diameter tree trunk. The residence utilized public water supply and trees would need taken down for plugging. Note: The well location was not accurate and had plotted on driveway. A new GPS reading was obtained and recorded for the alleged well location.
