-536559605 | 2013-03-19 | Inspected well on D. Goins Special Project List for March/April. Wellhead identification only had the last three digits of the permit number. According to 1501:9-9-05(A)10/1509:23 the well identification sign shall include owner's name, county, township, well name and number, permit number for the well, and emergency contact number. The tank battery for this well consists of two 100-barrel tanks and a oil/gas separator. According to the well tender, Pete Jeffers (cell phone 740-339-0306/home phone 740-684-0158), they are only using one tank to gather product (oil). The other tank is closed and empty. The gas separated from the oil is split between domestic supply to the house east of the access road entrance to the tank battery and a commercial gas gathering system, Gatherco, west of the Orwig, Babcock #2 well. Wellhead consists of a pumping unit powered by an electric motor; surface casing with 2-inch pipe fittings attached for shallow gas production; and production tubing rising above this connection with 2-inch pipe fittings for deeper oil production. Currently the packer for the production tubing is slightly leaking. There is less than one-gallon of oil in the containment area around the wellhead. According to 1501:9-9-05(A)1/1509:20 Well is insufficiently equipped to prevent escape of oil and gas. The owner shall repair or replace faulty equipment on the well to prevent the release of any contaminants into the environment. | 9-9-05(A)1 | |||
