-1236220822 | 2014-02-20 | I was on site to check the status of the 9 5/8 inch casing job since they got the 9 5/8 inch casing hung in the hole yesterday afternoon. My inspection revealed that the casing is still hung in the hole at this time. I observed Blue Dot wireline truck rigging up when I arrived on location. I spoke with Jimmy Freeman (Drilling Superintendent) and he advised that they decided to run a free point to determine where the casing is hung. After determining where the casing is hung, they are going to perforate the casing if the casing is hung below the float collar. We discussed several options and possible corrective actions that could be attempted to remediate the current situation. They advised me that Schlumberger is bringing out a different blend of cement and the cement trucks should be on site sometime around 6:00am. I advised them to contact me a couple of hours before they are ready to cement the casing. My inspection revealed no violations at this time.
-1867147895 | 2014-02-20 | I was on site to witness the cementing of the 9 5/8 inch casing. As noted in a previous inspection report, the 9 5/8 inch intermediate casing got hung in the hole and they couldn't break circulation. They decided to perforate the casing with 16 shots (.33 inch diameter) from 1831.5 feet to 1824 feet and cement the casing through the perforations. After perforating the casing, they established circulation at 11 barrels a minute with 65 PSI. At this point they decided to go ahead and cement the 9 5/8 inch intermediate casing at 1924 feet and leave a calculated 25 feet of cement above the top perforations. Schlumberger cemented the casing with 698 sacks of Class "A" D901 with 1% D154, 0.2% D046, 0.15% B160A, 0.5% B348, and .125 pound per sack D130. The cement had a density of 15.6 pounds per gallon, a yield of 1.19 cubic feet per sack, and they used 5.219 gallons of mix water per sack. They pumped 148 barrels of cement, 136 barrels of displacement, and there was 46 barrels of cement returns to surface. They landed the plug at 10:00am with 896 PSI and they shut the manifold in at this time. Craig Coen (Company Man) advised the driller to bleed back approximately 1 barrel of displacement water back out of the casing (in approximately 1.5 hours) so when the cement was curing there wouldn't be pressure on the inside of the casing. By bleeding the 1 barrel of displacement water back out of the casing, they are trying to prevent the creation of a micro-annulus. My inspection of the well site revealed no violations at this time.
1391442884 | 2014-02-03 | I was on site to witness the cementing of the 20 inch conductor casing. My inspection revealed that Enviro Drill has drilled a 30 inch hole to a total depth of 120 feet and ran 120 of 20 inch conductor casing (78.67 pounds per foot / inside diameter of 19.25 inches). Allied pumped 433 sacks of Class "A" cement with 2% CaCl and 1/2 pound per sack floseal. The cement had a density of 15.6 pounds per gallon, a yield of 1.18 cubic feet per sack, and they used 5.23 gallons of mix water per sack. Allied pumped 91 barrels of cement slurry, 39.5 barrels of displacement, and there was 5 barrels of cement returns to surface. My inspection revealed no violations at this time.
1392842925 | 2014-02-19 | I was on site to witness the cementing of the 9 5/8 inch intermediate casing. My inspection revealed that Nomac Rig # 71 has drilled a 12 1/4 inch hole to a total depth of 1930 feet and ran 1924 feet of 9 5/8 inch intermediate casing (40 pounds per foot / inside diameter 8.835 inches). They installed 17 bowspring centralizers on joints 1,1,2,3,6,9,12,15,18,21,24,27,30,33,36,39, and 42. While running the casing they hit fill-up 20 feet off bottom so they had to circulate the casing to bottom. They got casing on bottom and circulated the hole. They shut down to take the swege out of the casing so they could install the cement head. The casing became hung in the hole and they couldn't break circulation at this time. The rig kept pulling on the casing and kept trying to break circulation, but was unsuccessfull at this time. They kept trying to work the casing for over two hours and couldn't get the casing free or break circulation. I advised Jimmy Freeman (Drilling Superintendent) that I was leaving the site and for them to contact me when they either got the casing free or when they came up with an alternative plan of action. My inspection revealed no violations at this time. |
