1381325972 2013-08-06 Huffman-Bowers was contracted by Wyant Exploration Co to plug this well at the request of AEP so AEP could expand their landfill operation in this area. Barry Bowers has expanded his well service operation to provide plugging services with service rig work at the well site. They showed up at 0830 hours and started to bring the 1-1/2 inch production tubing to surface. Tubing was tallied to ensure well depth at 1705-feet with a 16.1 feet mud anchor. Bowers bullhead the first plug over the Berea sand at 1720 to 1704 feet with 32 sacks of Class A neet cement. Shut well-in and shut down overnight to let plug set.
1798192645 2013-08-07 Second day of plugging this well. Bowers crew set up wire line with mud joint on end to tag the top of yesterdays plug over the Berea sandstone. Top was at 1307-feet. Top of displaced water was at 27-feet below ground surface. This was the same location as yesterday and indicated a good plug was set. Ripped the 4-1/2 inch production casing at 1200-feet, their first telegraph point. Removed 35 joints of 4-1/2 inch casing. Ran 1-1/2 inch tubing to set the plug 100-feet in/ 100-feet out at the bottom of the 7-inch surface casing at 309-feet. Circulated 40 sacks of Class A neet cement over this interval. Removed tubing to set the top of the 7-inch plug from 100-feet to surface. Circulated 20 sacks of Class A neet cement through the 1-1/2 inch production tubing to plug this interval. Moved service rig to the next well location and left the cement pumper at this location to top off the top of the surface plug in the well if necessary.
-1961270046 2013-08-09 Arrived early to check status of the surface plug on this well. Bowers added more cement, 10 sacks to top off the surface casing yesterday. I observed that the top of the cement plug was 5-1/2 inches below the top of the 7-inch surface casing and it was hard. They had already dewatered the pit and covered it yesterday. The site was cleaned up and all equipment from the well was removed including the 4-1/2 inch production casing and the 1-1/2 inch tubing.

-819279751 2014-04-24 Upon inspection, it was observed that this site is still largely bare. The pits were filled in. Surface casing was sticking approximately 2 out of the ground and cement could be seen at the top. I contacted Tim Wyant of Wyant Exploration Co. to discuss the restoration of this site, and he informed me that AEP waived the final restoration because they have plans to expand their landfill into the area where these wells were plugged. We do not have the landowner waiver on file. I will contact Tim Wyant again to see if he has a copy of this waiver. The restoration will not be passed until the waiver is approved.
